On November 7th, the China-Europe-America Think Tank Cooperation Forum will hold its first European dialogue of 2023 in Bologna, Italy. Known as "la dotta," meaning "the learned". Bologna is home to the world's oldest university, the University of Bologna, founded in 1088.
The theme of this forum is Global Governance and World Economy:Challenges of Sustainability and Inclusiveness, comprising three sub-forums exploring Global Economic Outlook: Growth, Finance, and Trade, Imperatives and Challenges of Three Green Transition, and The Future of EU-China Relations.
Romano Prodi, former Prime Minister of Italy and former President of the European Commission, will deliver the keynote speech. Distinguished guests from China, Europe, and the United States will participate.
The exchange of ideas in the intellectually rich setting of "la dotta" holds profound significance. David Gosset, founder of the China-Europe-America Global Initiative, emphasizes think tanks in this context need to reinforce cooperation, and act as catalysts for peace.He states, "In a world of multiple crises, one should not decouple but renew intellectual dialogue to solve the problems of our century."
